Description:
You are bidding on an autographed jersey signed by Alabama Baseball great Kent Matthes. Matthes was named the 2009 Southeastern Conference Player of the Year as well as 2009 Consensus All-America (Baseball America, American Baseball Coaches Association, Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and Rivals.com) following a stellar Senior season at The Capstone.

Matthes was also named one of five finalists for the 2009 Golden Spikes Award, which is considered the Heisman Trophy of College Baseball. He is one of three players in school history to be named a finalist for this award. He is also a semi-finalist for the Dick Howser Trophy.

Kent finished his 2009 campaign having set the Alabama single-season homerun record with 28 homeruns, a record which former Tide standout Doug Duke held since 1986. He also led the SEC in homeruns, RBI, total bases and slugging percentage. His 28 homeruns tied the national homerun lead for 2009 and made Matthes the fifth NCAA statistical national champion in school history.
